ABOUT ME

They say a jack of all trades is a master of none. I don't claim to be a master of anything, however, I have sharpened various skills over the years and strive to come as close to mastery as I can get. From photography and cooking, to coding and carpentry. The thing that has always brought me the most joy is creating or fixing something, anything. Seeing my work live on in someone else's house is especially gratifying. 
Ever since I was 9 and spent all summer building a clubhouse in my backyard, with my best friend, I've found great joy in creating things. Years later I would rediscover those same joys when we bought our first house. As I worked on our home, I learned two things; knowledge is earned and sweat equity is real. As more people came to our home, for various events, word spread. Suddenly I was in demand for skills I didn’t know I had. 
After I completed a few projects outside our own home, I was confident this wasn’t just a fluke thing, or overly nice friends. I started considering a career, not just a job. Finally, one afternoon, I was putting in a feature wall for friends; alone with my thoughts, Pecan Tree Design was born. With a focus on carpentry and finish work, I hope to help you and others in the Dallas area, turn your house into a home.
